Welcome to the website of the
Virginia Collectors Association
The Virginia Collectors Association is the trade association for debt collection professionals in the Commonwealth of Virginia. VCA is affiliated with ACA International, Inc., the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals as a state unit.
Debt collectors have a measurable impact on the national and state economies through the recovery of consumer debt. Debt collectors keep funds flowing through the economy by returning unpaid revenue to businesses for reinvestment and to offset losses that otherwise might translate to price increases for all consumers. Collection agencies are important as job creators - employing skilled workers in well-paying jobs, taxpayers - contributing federal, state and local taxes, and as valued community members - providing financial and volunteer support to charitable organizations.
View the results of the Ernst & Young Survey for Virginia below, which shows the impact the collection industry has on the local and national economy.
