The Ohio Receivables Management Association Presents

“A POSITIVE APPROACH TO PROBLEM PERFORMANCE”

Thomas Jackson, CAE

Thursday, September 16, 2010 – 1:00–4:00 P.M.

Crowne Plaza Hotel – Dublin, OH

(In conjunction with the Ohio Receivables Management Association Annual Convention)

Seminar Cost - $75 (discounted to $50 if also registering for Friday meeting)

The vast majority of top-notch employees want to work in a well-disciplined environment.  The term “discipline” takes on many different connotations and can be a “turn-off” rather than a “turn-on” for employees whose performance is less than desirable.  This brief seminar will provide some techniques and a vocabulary that will make the discipline process a positive one as opposed to a negative one.   The bottom line is to change behavior/performance and this program will position supervisors to be more effective, with a positive approach, rather than a negative one.

Thomas S. Jackson, CAE, is President/CEO of the Ohio Grocers Association in Columbus, Ohio.

He has been involved in the food industry for 52 years, having owned and operated a specialty store

and supermarket as well as being involved with various industry organizations.

Prior to accepting the leadership of the Ohio Grocers Association, Mr. Jackson spent seven years as

a consultant specializing in the areas of employee relations, human resource management, training and

development. He has worked with over 200 companies (the majority of which were retail food merchants, ranging from convenience store operators to regional supermarket chains) to develop and implement effective employee relations programs to maximize productivity and enhance management credibility. In addition, he has conducted management development seminars throughout the United States and has extensive speaking experience in addressing convention groups and industry organizations.
