Welcome to the North Carolina Collectors Association's website.
If you are a third party debt collection agency in North Carolina and are a member of ACA International, you are also a member of the NC Collectors Association. The NC unit is an active unit that provides the members with quality speakers at the two membership meetings held each year. A two day meeting is held in the spring and a one day meeting is held in the fall. Some of our previous speakers have been Etta Maynard, Rebecca Shigley, Angela Hatchell, and Wayne Goodwin. from the NC Department of Insurance. Frank Gray, our lobbyist, keeps us informed on all legislatiive issues affecting our industry. Additional speakers have been Phil Lehman, Attorney General's office, Tim Moore, NC Representative, and
Professor Doug Pearce, Head of Department of Economics NC State University. Caren Enloe and Katherine Peglow, MAP Attorneys, have also shared litigation issues affecting the collection agencies in North Carolina.

The 2009 Fall Membership Meeting was held October 13 at the Cardinal Club in Raleigh, NC. In attendance wewe 33 people representing 18 agencies, 2 sponsors, and 4 speakers. The speakers were Frank Gray, NCCA Lobbyist, Etta Maynard, Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Insurance, and Danielle Brown and Allen Baker with CBCInnovis. Elections were held for the 2010-2011 Officers and Directors.
The Spring 2009 Membership Meeting held April 23 & 24, 2009, at Little River Golf & Resort was a success. The weather was great for golf, Thursday afternoon and the night putting contest Thursday evening after the reception. The members attending learned from each other, the speakers, and the vendors that sponsored the meeting. In attendance were 20 agencies represented by 28 members, 10 vendors, and 3 very informative speakers as well as a moderator for discussion by our Vice President, Terry Taylor.
